I designed this resource page as a starting place to help you take the next right step. If you can’t find what you’re looking for here, more extensive resources can be found at:

Looking for a therapist?

That’s a wonderful thing. It’s a big deal to get to a place where you’re actively working to heal and grow. Whatever happens next, you have much to be proud of.

Let’s get into next steps.

First things first, I’m writing my second book and not currently seeing clients. I don’t keep a waitlist and I don’t respond to emails requesting appointments. What I do do is share all the best resources I know, beginning with this article on how to find a therapist.

If you’re in NYC, here are my recommendations for therapists and therapy centers:

Did you read the thing about how to find a good therapist yet?

Here it is again, but if you still don’t want to read it, here’s the gist: just start.

Start emailing therapists whose profiles you like. What you’re looking for more than anything else is fit – does this person get me? Can I be honest with them? Do they seem to genuinely care about me? Manage your expectations during the search. It can be hard to find the right person and it takes time; the difficulty is worth it.
